Real Madrid starts bold contract talks with Bellingham
Real Madrid has decided to start contract talks early with Jude Bellingham, even though the Englishman still has several years on his contract until June 2029. The officials of the Royal do not want to wait until the last moment to secure the future of the team's key player.
Early negotiations despite long contract
The current contract of the Englishman runs until June 2029, so theoretically there is no time pressure for the club. Nevertheless, Real Madrid wants to settle the matter much earlier to obtain planning certainty.
The reason is simple: the club wants to avoid a repeat of the protracted negotiations it has conducted in recent months with Vinícius Júnior.
Bellingham's performances fuel decision
Bellingham started in all four league games for Real, scoring two goals and providing two more assists. In total he spent 335 minutes on the pitch and is being given more freedom in the attack this season.
Real sees him as one of the most important players for the coming years and views the early talks as a step that secures the long‑term future of the player and the team.
Ramón Álvarez de Mon reported that the officials are already planning a step to start the contract negotiations. The Royal decision is to be implemented promptly.
