Real Madrid secures superstar Jude Bellingham until 2031 with pay rise

While Jude Bellingham has already been considered a central figure since his summer‑2023 move from Borussia Dortmund to Real Madrid, the announcement of an early contract extension is hardly surprising. Michael Regan reports that the Englishman and the Royals have agreed on a new deal until 2031, even though his current contract runs until 2029.
Contract length and financial upgrade
The new contract extends Bellingham's commitment by another two years and, according to the report, includes a significant salary increase. It cites his current gross salary of €20.8 million per year and notes that the raise is intended to make him one of the highest‑paid players at Real Madrid.
Although the official announcement is still pending, the agreement is said to have already been reached, the Spanish sports newspaper AS reports. Both sides had been negotiating an early extension for some time before a breakthrough was finally achieved.
Performances since the move
Since the summer of 2023, Bellingham has made 150 competitive appearances for Real, scoring 49 goals and providing 36 assists. In the current 2026/27 season he is, so far, on ten appearances with three goals and three assists, with all six scoring points coming in La Liga.
The transfer from Borussia Dortmund to Real Madrid cost over €100 million, an amount that Bellingham has already more than justified on the pitch.
With the new contract until 2031 and the announced salary increase, Real Madrid solidifies its long‑term planning around the midfield star and signals that Bellingham will continue to play a key role in the squad.
