Real Madrid returns to the Ballon d'Or with Mbappé and Cucurella

Tonight the Ballon d'Or, the award for the best player in the world, will be presented, and Real Madrid will attend the ceremony after two years of absence, with Kylian Mbappé and Marc Cucurella among the nominees traveling to London.
Club representation in London
Several representatives of the white side and some players will travel this Monday to London. President Florentino Pérez will not attend, but Emilio Butragueño will be the institutional representation. Kylian Mbappé, Lamine Yamal and Harry Kane are among the favorites.
The confirmed players are Kylian Mbappé, Marc Cucurella and Jean Diomonde. Mbappé and Cucurella are nominated for the Ballon d'Or; Cucurella is also nominated for the Kopa Trophy as the best young player.
Vinícius and Jude Bellingham, also candidates for the Ballon d'Or, will not travel with the delegation. Their absence reinforces the presence of the main nominees.
Real Madrid returns to the forefront of the Ballon d'Or and UEFA
In 2024, the club cancelled at the last minute the trip to Paris upon learning that Vinícius would not win the award. Rodri took it that year.
Last year, only Emilio Butragueño attended the ceremony. This time, the delegation is larger, although the president remains absent.
It remains to be seen whether any Real Madrid player will lift the Ballon d'Or tonight.
