Real Madrid eye Van Dijk as Bayern lock up Olise until 2032

Real Madrid are waiting for Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk, 35, to become a free agent at the end of the season, with Wednesday gossip suggesting the Dutchman could join the Spanish capital club. Getty images have captured the growing speculation.

Bayern's long‑term offer to Olise

Bayern Munich have offered French striker Michael Olise a contract that runs until 2032, extending well beyond his current deal that expires in 2029. The German club’s move shows a clear intent to lock the 24‑year‑old into its future plans.

The Bavarians are also eyeing Barcelona's Jules Kounde, 27, a French defender who has fallen out of favour at the Spanish side. Adding Kounde would bolster Bayern’s defensive options alongside their offensive reinforcement.

Rumours linking Bayern to Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford, 32, have been downplayed, with the German side indicating no immediate interest in the England international.

Elsewhere, Manchester United are linked with French striker Jean‑Philippe Mateta, 29, and are preparing new terms for English defender Luke Shaw, 31, both out of contract at season’s end. The Spanish term Deportivo often appears in coverage of such moves, and Mundo reflects the global reach of these transfer stories.

Former United defender Matteo Darmian, 36, will begin training with Bologna on Wednesday after his release from Inter Milan, adding another Wednesday movement in the market.
