Real Madrid denounces a refereeing campaign and targets Tebas
Real Madrid is more than upset and angry with the referees' performance after Vinicius's dismissal in the match against Villarreal, a incident that has reinforced the feeling of an arbitral campaign against the white club. From the club's management, the president of LaLiga, Javier Tebas, is pointed to as one of the alleged responsible parties.
In the absence of an official spokesperson, Real Madrid TV takes on the role of the club's mouthpiece and devotes a large part of its news bulletins to analysing the referees' performance. The programmes compare the decisions made in Real Madrid matches with those of other games, highlighting alleged differences. The report bears the signature of Dïaz de Mera, a club member.
According to the channel, the white team is disadvantaged in actions such as penalties not awarded in its favour, dismissed players being spared, and yellow cards shown to opponents but not to its players. These arguments are repeatedly used to justify the existence of a campaign against Real Madrid.
The Negreira case on the club's agenda
In Real Madrid TV's daily programming the 'Negreira case' is also mentioned, linking it to Barcelona and recalling that some active referees rose under the tutelage of José María Negreira in the Federation. The name Negreira is used as a reference to explain alleged refereeing irregularities. Chema Moya, a contributor to the channel, also highlights the presence of the Negreira case on the agenda.
Direct accusations against Tebas
According to EFE, ABC and OK Diario, citing Real Madrid sources, they state that from the club's upper echelons the president of LaLiga, Javier Tebas, is identified as part of the alleged refereeing campaign against the white club. Manuel Bruña, an EFE journalist, notes that the reason for the accusation is that Tebas also holds the position of vice‑president of the Federation.
ABC published the phrase attributed to the club: “He is the new Negreira. These refereeing decisions have a black hand behind them.” OK Diario records another statement from the club that says: “There is no coincidence, only sovereignty and the providence of God. At Madrid we are waiting to see if we discover who that God is that is messing things up.”
The confrontation between Real Madrid, the Referees' Technical Committee and Tebas remains very heated and shows no signs of being resolved soon. On the contrary, the club's interlocutors suggest that the controversy could intensify.
Meanwhile, the club is progressing with the renewal of goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois's contract. In addition, Real Madrid is beginning to prepare its visit to Rome for the upcoming European fixture.
