Real Madrid Brazilian gets green light after long lay‑off
Éder Militão’s clearance to train with the first‑team gives José Mourinho a much‑needed option in central defence, strengthening Real Madrid’s back line ahead of the upcoming fixtures.
Militão’s injury timeline
The Brazilian centre‑back has been sidelined for five months, not featuring since the 2‑1 victory over Alavés on 21 April in La Liga 2025/26.
This Saturday (26) he received the "green light" from the club’s medical department, confirming his readiness to rejoin the squad.
Prior to the approval, Militão had been training separately, focusing on rehabilitation away from the main group.
Now he can re‑enter the training camp and become available to Mourinho, who has been deploying Dumfries, Konaté, Huijsen and Cucurella in defence.
Militão’s return also offers a boost to coach Carlo Ancelotti and the Brazilian national team, who may benefit from his renewed match fitness.
Without further updates, the next step will be monitoring his integration into the side as the season progresses.
