RB Leipzig’s surprising Diomande update fuels transfer saga

RB Leipzig announced a Diomande-Update on Wednesday, confirming that Ivorian winger Yan Diomande has arrived at the club’s training camp in Austria. The club said the player missed the start of the camp because of illness but is now back on the training pitch.

Diomande, the Ivorian, first completed an individual Einheit in a Zelt before joining the group on the Trainingsplatz. This personal session marked his return after the missed Start of the camp.

Reports said Real Madrid originally wanted to avoid Diomande’s presence at the Roten Bullen’s Trainingslager, but talks between the clubs have not yet produced a breakthrough. Consequently, the winger had no choice but to follow his teammates to Austria.

The arrival is not interpreted as a sign that the deal with Real Madrid is collapsing. According to Sky, the clubs remain in good and promising negotiations that could be concluded soon, and Diomande continues to fulfil his duties as an RB Leipzig player.

Sky estimates the potential transfer package to exceed 120 million euros, a sum that could even surpass Jude Bellingham’s 127 million‑euro record as Real Madrid’s most expensive signing.

It is clear that RB Leipzig is not conceding in the transfer Poker and aims to extract the maximum from the Spanish giants, a stance highlighted by extensive social‑media coverage of Diomande’s arrival.

The club’s official Update used the phrase "Der Poker um Yan Diomande geht in die nächste Runde!" to underline the ongoing negotiations.
