RB Leipzig receives money from UEFA for national players like Bayern
UEFA pays during the current XXL international break a sum of approximately €353,000 to the German club RB Leipzig for 16 players released to the national associations, more than any other German club.
Maximum amount for Leipzig
With this, Leipzig is the most generously compensated club among all European representatives. In total, €31.5 million was distributed to 611 different clubs. For the two Nations League seasons 2024/25 and 2026/27, UEFA plans a volume of €104 million.
Within the UEFA club support programme, clubs receive €3,845 per player per match. For Euro 2028 (including qualification), the compensation is calculated on a per-player per-day basis, with a pool of €140 million available.
German media predict three-way points race in Nations League group
UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin said the support programme recognises the essential contribution of clubs to the success of national team football. Nasser Al‑Khelaifi, chairman of the European Football Clubs, stressed that more than 600 clubs of all sizes benefit from this first payout.
UEFA did not, however, disclose which positions Bayern München or Borussia Dortmund achieved in the payouts.
