Rating Switzerland praises goal scorer Ndoye among SRF users
Dan Ndoye, the forward of Nottingham Forest, scored the winning goal in the 2‑1 win over Slovenia and was rated by the SRF users as the only player with more than five out of six stars – a result that marks the highest rating in the match and thereby strengthened the position of the Swiss national team in the Nations League points system.
Rating distribution and further assessments
Freshfocus/Toto Marti reported that Ndoye, with his back to the goal, scored the decisive goal in the 2‑1 win. His attacking performance from Nottingham helped the Swiss national team maintain the maximum points in the Nations League after three matches.
Among the more than 3 300 voters, Ndoye was the only player to receive just over five out of six stars – the highest rating of all national players in this match.
Johan Manzambi, however, did not quite reach the five‑star mark. The defensive trio Zachary Athekame, Nico Elvedi and Manuel Akanji, together with Remo Freuler, were rated at about 4.5 stars.
Overall, the rating range was very narrow: No player received a failing grade, so the SRF users assessed the performances of the Swiss national team predominantly positively.
With this positive rating result, Switzerland remains well positioned for the upcoming Nations League fixtures, with Ndoye’s contribution highlighted as that of a key player.
