Rashford's yacht party fuels transfer buzz before United comeback
Marcus Rashford enjoyed a lavish holiday on a rented yacht in Saint‑Tropez on the French Riviera, surrounded by ten women in bikini, before re‑joining Manchester United after England secured third place at the FIFA World Cup 2026, according to the British tabloid The Sun.

The party featured a bottle of Armand de Brignac Brut Gold champagne valued at £270 (about $364) and a collection of high‑end accessories, including Louis Vuitton sneakers, a silver necklace engraved with the phrase “where the heart is my home”, and a Hublot Square Bang Unico black watch worth £23,000 (over $31,000).
Rashford’s weekly salary of £325,000 (roughly $440,000) at Manchester United attracted further media scrutiny, and images released by The Sun with credit to agency BackGrid show him leaping between boats along the French Riviera coastline.
A witness told the outlet, “It was very generous of Marcus to share his free time with a group of amazing women in the ocean waves. He is really living the dream.” The same source added that English players “deserve a rest after the heroic third place” earned at the World Cup.
United future and transfer speculation
England’s third‑place finish at the FIFA World Cup 2026, staged across North America, Central America and the Caribbean, provided the backdrop for Rashford’s celebration.

The striker spent the previous season on loan at FC Barcelona in La Liga after a public split with former United manager Ruben Amorim, who had left him out of thirteen consecutive line‑ups and claimed he would rather start goalkeeper coach Jorge Vital, 63, than Rashford. Amorim was dismissed on 5 January 2026 after 14 months in charge.
Now under new manager Michael Carrick, Rashford will resume training next week and is slated to appear in a pre‑season friendly against Leeds United on Wednesday 12 August in Dublin, followed by a match versus AC Milan – managed by Amorim – on Saturday 15 August.
Having made 426 appearances for Manchester United since his 2016 debut, Rashford has not featured since a UEFA Europa League tie with Viktoria Plzeň in December 2024, leaving his future at Old Trafford uncertain.
According to The Sun, clubs such as Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are monitoring the situation, with offers reportedly reaching up to £80 million before the transfer window closes.
