Rashford's club decision could mark a turning point for United

Marcus Rashford may start the 2026/27 season with Manchester United after his loan spell at FC Barcelona, a development that could represent a major turning point for the club. The English forward returned to Old Trafford following the loan, putting his future at the club back on the agenda.

The loan to FC Barcelona saw Rashford leave Old Trafford for a brief period, after which he rejoined Manchester United’s training base. His time in Spain was limited, and the move was framed as a temporary arrangement rather than a permanent transfer.

Club officials are now weighing whether to keep the Englishman for the upcoming season, with the possibility that Rashford could feature from the start of the 2026/27 campaign. The decision will determine whether United can count on his services long‑term or look elsewhere for attacking options.

The contrast between a short‑term loan abroad and the prospect of a longer‑term stay highlights the uncertainty surrounding Rashford’s role at Manchester United, and suggests that the club’s next move will be closely watched by supporters and analysts alike.
