Raphinha leads FC Barcelona win over Sevilla despite Flick's pressure

Raphinha scored a hat‑trick in the away match against FC Sevilla and gave FC Barcelona a 3:1‑win. The Brazilian striker thereby improved his already impressive record in La Liga. Coach Hansi Flick celebrated the eighth win in eight league matches.

The 29‑year‑old forward found the net in the 19th minute after a through ball, then with a header to make it 2‑1, and finally with a lob to make it 3‑1. That was his tenth goal in the Spanish league and his second hat‑trick in just four days, after he had already scored a jersey full of goals against Racing Santander (7‑2).

Barca remains unbeaten

With the win, Barca remains completely unbeaten after seven matches in La Liga. The team also won the eighth league match, so the record stands at eight wins in eight games. Sevilla was only the second opponent to concede fewer than four goals.

Contract until 2030

Technical director Deco confirmed that Raphinha has extended his contract with Barca until the middle of 2030. The extension underscores the club’s desire to keep the Brazilian captain long‑term.

Other players contributed to the success: Lamine Yamal provided the assists for the second and third goals, while Andreas Christensen initiated the move that led to the equaliser. Rodri prevented another goal from Felix Correia in the first half with a sensational defensive action.
