Raphinha extends with Barcelona until 2030 after 11 goals this season

Eleven goals in seven official matches have brought the 29-year-old Brazilian Raphinha to a new contract with Barcelona, which runs until mid‑2030, technical director Deco announced.

Contract until 2030 and additional extensions

Deco announced on Saturday during a speech to the socios that Raphinha and Barcelona have reached an agreement on an extension. “There is momentum, we have agreed that Raphinha will stay until 2030,” he said, while the current agreement does not expire until 2028. The Brazilian’s signature is still missing.

The forward arrived in 2022 from Leeds United to the Catalans and quickly became a regular. Since this season he even wears the captain’s armband, a sign of his growing leadership within the club.

With eleven goals in seven official matches Raphinha has delivered an exceptionally strong start to the season. His goal‑scoring output underlines why the club wants to keep him until 2030.

Deco also reported that midfielder Marc Bernal and wing‑back Xavi Espart will sign an extended and improved deal. Both players are 19 years old and will receive new contracts with better terms.

Bernal is now locked in until mid‑2031, an extension compared with the previous expiry in mid‑2029. Espart, whose contract expires in 2028, will receive a new agreement until mid‑2030.
