Rangers secure Ivor Pandur as they chase trophy glory
Croatian goalkeeper Ivor Pandur, 26, has arrived in Glasgow after representing Croatia at the World Cup and has signed a four‑year contract with Rangers, completing his June move from Hull City. The 26‑year‑old is eager to begin his spell at the Scottish giants and to chase silverware.
Pandur signed the four‑year deal after Hull City secured his services at the end of June. He was instrumental in Hull’s promotion to the Premier League, winning the play‑offs.
During his last season, Pandur made 48 appearances for Hull. He joined the English side from Dutch club Fortuna Sittard in January 2024, having begun his career at Rijeka and later spending three years with Hellas Verona in Italy.
Reflecting on his journey, Pandur said, “I have worked all my career for this moment to be here and I’m really excited and ready to go.” He added that he has always wanted to join a club that fights for trophies and feels the timing is perfect.
Pandur revealed he first spoke to Rangers about four years ago while still in Holland, but the opportunity did not materialise then. He consulted former Hull teammates John Lundstram and Kieran Dowell, both with recent Rangers experience, and compatriot Antonio Colak, whose insights reinforced his decision.
He described Rangers as one of the biggest clubs a player can sign for, saying the advice he received left him with little doubt. The signing gives Rangers a goalkeeper with Premier League promotion experience, while Pandur gains a platform to compete for trophies.
