PSV sees market values rise, Van Bommel and Fernandez lead jumps
PSV’s squad valuation has shifted dramatically, with the midfield and wing positions seeing the sharpest rises, according to the latest Transfermarkt update. The club’s defensive core contributed modestly, while Dutch midfielder Ruben van Bommel and Belgian forward Noah Fernandez emerged as the biggest beneficiaries.
Season start and standings
PSV began the Eredivisie campaign under Peter Bosz with a mixed opening. A defeat away to FC Twente and a home draw against Fortuna Sittard saw the Eindhoven side slip from the top spot at the Grolsch Veste. The loss also triggered the first notable fluctuations in player valuations.
Other rises and drops
Ruben van Bommel and Noah Fernandez each saw their market values climb by eight million euros. The increase almost doubled the forward’s price and nearly tripled the young Belgian’s, making them the headline gainers in the latest update. The update opens with the Dutch phrase ‘Voor de positieve nieuws’.
Japanese winger Kodai Sano and Dutch‑American winger Sergiño Dest also enjoyed notable lifts. Clubs would need to add six million euros for Sano and four million euros for Dest on top of their existing price tags.
Esmir Bajraktarevic, Armando Obispo and Ayoni Santos each recorded a two‑million‑euro increase, while newcomer striker Mikkel Bro Hansen rose by 2.2 million euros.
In contrast, injured midfielder Jerdy Schouten and forward Yarek Gasiorowski each saw four million euros stripped from their values. Dennis Man fell by three million, Ryan Flamingo by two million and Sam Lammers by one million.
The updated hierarchy of PSV’s most valuable assets still places American striker Ricardo Pepi at the summit with a thirty‑million‑euro tag. Dest now sits jointly second at twenty‑two million, alongside Paul Wanner, while Lutsharel Geertruida remains at twenty million. Van Bommel and Kodai Sano have both risen to eighteen million, sharing the next rung with Brazilian international Mauro Júnior.
These valuation swings underscore how early‑season results and player fitness are already reshaping PSV’s market profile, offering a clearer picture for clubs monitoring potential summer moves.
