PSV loses roughly €8 million after two transfer deals fall through

Vandaag, at 15:55, PSV officials gathered in the club’s headquarters as the clock ticked down, realizing that Het last moment to cash in had vanished. The sudden collapse of two pending deals left the Dutch giants staring at a financial shortfall.

The club now faces an estimated loss of around eight million euros, directly linked to the aborted transfers of Armando Obispo and Adamo Nagalo.

The fallout is being dissected on #DoneDeal, the transfer podcast produced by VoetbalPrimeur.

Obispo had been on the verge of joining RC Lens, while Nagalo was set for a move to Çorum FK, but both players failed to reach personal agreements with their prospective clubs, leaving them at PSV for the time being.

“I think Obispo is the ideal twelfth man for PSV, but I think PSV wants to sell him to acquire a new defensive midfielder,” said Timo Letschert. “They are not happy with this situation. I do not see him as a typical Peter Bosz central defender, so the French league seemed a suitable destination, and I still envision him playing at the top level in Belgium,” he added.

Listeners can hear the full discussion in the complete #DoneDeal episode linked below.
