PSG Transfer: Walid Regragui sees Saibari as Bayern’s ideal maestro for Paris

Regragui envisions the Bayern Munich player thriving in Paris as he does today in Munich.

Regragui's view on the Moroccan talent

In an interview with L’Équipe, the Moroccan coach detailed why Saibari could have thrived at PSG or Barça. He highlights the offensive midfielder's game intelligence, capable of making multiple runs and serving the team. “He sacrifices himself for the team, in his movements, his pressing. He’s a Spanish‑style player, a huge football IQ,” he said.

Versatility and technical qualities

Regragui notes that Saibari has a rare ability to position himself in the right area to provide a solution for his teammate, a valuable asset for teams that dominate possession. The Moroccan can operate as one of the two deep‑lying midfielders, but also on the flanks, particularly on the right, where he can cut inside to play as a number 10.

Bayern's journey

Bayern Munich finally confirmed the player's arrival from PSV Eindhoven last summer, with a contract running until 2031 and a transfer estimated at €55 million. Saibari was coming off a productive season at PSV, with 15 league goals and 18 in all competitions.

While OM was long linked with him in the past, PSG could have been an ideal destination for Saibari.
