PSG Transfer window: Paris wants the Ligue 2 gem despite competition

In the corridors of the Parc des Princes, PSG scouts are scrutinising the file of Laciné Megnan‑Pavé, a sixteen‑year‑old striker from Montpellier, already spotted as a French international U16. The Parisian club continues its monitoring, even though Ligue 2 remains his current league.

Growing interest

Already very interested during the last summer transfer window, PSG now sees European competition strengthening. According to Ekrem Konur, Atlético Madrid and Benfica are also monitoring the player's profile. The Laciné Megnan‑Pavé file remains current at PSG, which has sent several offers to Montpellier. L’Équipe reports that a recent proposal was estimated at around €10 million, accompanied by a five‑year contract agreement with the young centre‑forward.

But Montpellier ultimately kept its young striker. President Laurent Nicollin explained that his player is not for sale, except in the case of a particularly significant offer. Since then, Megnan‑Pavé has continued his development with MHSC in Ligue 2, his contract running until June 2028.
