PSG eye Ajax Mika Godts as Barcola’s Liverpool-linked exit looms
Paris Saint-Germain face a looming void on the left wing after French winger Bradley Barcola confirmed he will not extend his contract, which runs until 2028, prompting Liverpool-linked speculation. To replace him, the club have turned to Ajax Mika Godts, the 21‑year‑old Belgian winger identified as a suitable successor.
Barcola has informed Paris Saint-Germain that he will not renew his deal, meaning his contract expires in 2028. The French winger’s decision has placed Liverpool at the forefront of interest, with the English club currently the frontrunners to sign him.
With Barcola’s exit imminent, PSG have begun scouting alternatives. The French capital side have already moved close to sealing the transfer of Maghnes Akliouche from AS Monaco after outbidding Liverpool for the Frenchman’s signature.
Paris Saint-Germain have opened talks with Ajax for the 21‑year‑old Belgian winger Mika Godts, according to transfer reporter Fabrizio Romano. The club view Godts as their next attacking target to fill the left‑wing gap.

Ajax are determined to retain the Belgian youngster, but reports suggest Godts has agreed to join PSG following direct positive talks with sporting director Luis Ocampos.
Godts, a right‑footed attacker, primarily operates on the left flank but can also play as an attacking midfielder. He is renowned for his pace, close control, creativity and finishing, drawing comparisons with former Chelsea star Eden Hazard. He finished the 2025/26 season with 17 goals and 15 assists in 44 games across all competitions and was voted Eredivisie Talent of the Year, beating AZ’s Kees Smit.
Despite his talent, the Belgian international could find it difficult to break into PSG’s starting line‑up, raising questions about whether the move would benefit his development.
PSG aim to finalise the deal this summer, but Ajax’s determination to keep the player may pose an obstacle to completing the transfer.
