PSG extends Dembélé and Mendes' rest, leaves two absences for the return to Ligue 1

Paris Saint-Germain announced that Ousmane Dembélé and Nuno Mendes will return to training from October 10 and 11, respectively, but will remain unavailable for the match against newly promoted Le Mans, scheduled for this Saturday at 19:45, in Ligue 1.

Authorized training return

According to the official statement, the decision was made jointly with manager Luis Enrique and the sporting director. Dembélé will resume activities on Saturday, October 10, while Mendes will do so on Sunday, October 11. Both players are Portuguese internationals who recently featured with the National Team.

Absence for the match against Le Mans

With the two players missing, PSG will take the field without two pieces considered essential to the squad. The club emphasized that the measure aims to manage the players' rest after the sequence of four wins in the first four games of the Jorge Jesus era, followed by four matches without a win and, subsequently, three consecutive victories.

The season began with the European Super Cup triumph, but was followed by a run of four games without winning. Since then, Paris Saint‑Germain have recorded three consecutive wins, now preparing to host Le Mans at home.

The 25 players called up by the National Team have already returned to their clubs after the international break, as mentioned in PSG's communications. The club highlighted that the extension of Mendes' holiday was agreed with the management and the coach to preserve his physical condition.

"In agreement with the coach and the sporting director, Ousmane Dembélé and Nuno Mendes are taking a period of rest. They will resume training on Saturday the 10th and Sunday the 11th of October," said PSG.

PSG's next Ligue 1 challenge will therefore be played without Dembélé and Mendes, leaving two significant absences that manager Luis Enrique will have to compensate for in the lineup for Saturday's game.
