Pogba slashes Cheshire mansion price as Monaco contract ends
Former Man United star Paul Pogba has slashed the asking price of his five‑bedroom Cheshire mansion to £3.5 million, down £450,000 from the original £3.95 million, as his contract with AS Monaco was terminated early in August 2026. The 33‑year‑old midfielder announced the reduction after struggling to find a buyer. The original asking price of £3.95 million was set when the property was listed in 2024.
Price cut after Monaco exit
He originally listed the house in 2024, two years after leaving United, hoping for a £1 million profit. With no offers, the price was reduced to £3.5 million earlier this month. The reduction comes as his contract with AS Monaco was terminated early in August 2026.
Estate details and career turbulence
The 7,402‑sq‑ft property in Cheshire includes five bedrooms, a state‑of‑the‑art gym, a treatment room and a unique indoor football pitch at its centre. It also offers a cinema room, but the swimming pool and sauna have been removed. Pogba bought the gated home in 2017 at a reduced price, a year after his record‑breaking £89 million return to Old Trafford from Juventus. In 2022 the house was burgled while his two children slept, as he featured for United against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League, a raid he called his family’s “worst nightmare”.
Monaco confirmed on Wednesday that both parties mutually agreed to end the contract, originally due to run until June 2027. The Ligue 1 Club praised Pogba’s “unwavering determination” and “utmost professionalism” during his spell. The statement also thanked the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner for his professionalism and wished him future success. The announcement was released in a LIVE SPORTS COVERAGE bulletin authored by HARRY BAMFORTH.
Sport MLS clubs were approached last week as Pogba seeks his next venture in sport. He was cleared to return to football in March 2025 after a four‑year doping ban was reduced to 18 months on appeal. We note that he left Juventus by mutual consent in November 2024 after his contract was terminated.
Pogba enjoyed two spells at Manchester United, making over 230 appearances, scoring 39 goals and providing 51 assists. The former France international now remains without a club following his Monaco exit. He described his Monaco signing as a second chance after a “time of darkness”.
