Pfaff backs sick Bayern coach Kompany with emotional Facebook post

In a hospital in Belgium, Vincent Kompany, the coach of Bayern Munich, is under medical observation, a situation that raises great concern among both Belgian fans and the international football community. After the news that the coach of the German club is being medically succeeded, the worry grows.

Pfaff supports Kompany via Facebook

Via Facebook, the 72‑year‑old former goalkeeper Jean‑Marie Pfaff, former keeper of both Bayern and the Red Devils, shared a personal message for his compatriot. He responded immediately after it became known that Kompany is being medically succeeded.

Pfaff wishes Kompany especially a lot of strength and a speedy recovery. “From the bottom of my heart I wish you a great improvement and a swift recovery,” he wrote.

He emphasizes that football in such moments completely recedes into the background and that life sometimes asks you to pause. “Take the time you need to become fully yourself again,” he advises.

Pfaff praises Kompany not only as a great footballer and fantastic coach, but especially as a person with passion, character and perseverance who inspires many. “You are a role model for many,” he added.

He urges Kompany not to rush anything, to put health first, and wishes both him and his family a lot of strength, hope and positive energy. He also hopes that the Bayern coach can fully recover soon.
