Perisic’s persuasion fuels Kostic’s PSV move amid Dutch ambitions

Filip Kostic, the 33‑year‑old Serbian midfielder, has officially become a PSV player after the club announced his signing at 16:33 today, a move heavily influenced by Ivan Perisic’s persuasion. While the Eindhoven club celebrates a strategic squad boost, Kostic emphasizes his personal hunger to make an immediate impact in the Dutch Eredivisie.

PSV has reinforced its roster by adding Kostic, marking the latest acquisition for the Eindhoven side. The club highlighted the Serbian’s experience as a key element in bolstering the squad.

The veteran voiced delight at returning to the Eredivisie, describing the move as a homecoming. He stressed his intention to contribute to the Dutch top club’s ambitions.

Ivan Perisic played a decisive part in persuading Kostic to join PSV. Kostic recalled the Croatian’s repeated invitation: “Come here, you will love it and together we will make the opponents’ lives miserable.”

Kostic added that he is “extremely hungry to achieve many successes with this top club” and cannot wait to let his feet speak. He underlined his goal of making an immediate impact on the pitch.

Discussions with coach Peter Bosz also swayed the decision, with Kostic praising the coach’s organisational skill. He said Bosz’s style “perfectly fits me,” boosting his enthusiasm to sign.

Kostic is set to begin training and embed himself in Bosz’s system. He aims to translate his enthusiasm into performances that help PSV compete at the highest level.
