Pavoletti eyes January return as he juggles new life with Emma Luna
Leonardo Pavoletti, former captain of Cagliari, says he may return to football in January, describing his post‑retirement routine as full of energy and sleepless nights caring for his daughter Emma Luna. He adds that he wants "to take a little pleasure" by stepping back onto the field.
Pavoletti says his new phase is "new horizons, new objectives and a lot of energy", and feels "perhaps mentally programmed for this". He emphasizes that the excitement of discovery that drove his playing career continues to motivate him.
When asked how he is really doing, Pavoletti answered with humour: "Male! Datemi qualcosa da fare" ("Bad! Give me something to do"). The quip reflects the same irony that marked his time on the pitch.
He announced the arrival of a "new entry" in his household: "We have a new entry called Emma Luna directly from Monserrato". The baby daughter has become the centre of his nightly routine.
Pavoletti also noted that the nights are "burning well" for Emma Luna, saying "Ci sta sfiammando bene la notte". The sleepless evenings are a sign of his active family life.
Overall, the ex‑attacker describes his present as a continuous discovery, approached with the enthusiasm that always accompanied him on the field.
