Paris' PSG trials two Brazilian gems, one already on Barça’s radar

On a bright afternoon at the Paris Saint‑Germain training complex, the club’s Espoirs squad gathered as two young Brazilian hopefuls stepped onto the pitch, their every move watched by scouts from Paris and beyond.

Two Brazilians in the spotlight

According to Les Titis du PSG, the pair were trialled in a friendly against the Manchester City youth side. The report opened with the line “Alors que le mercato parisien se poursuit, la direction sportive garde un œil attentif”, underscoring the club’s focus on promising Brésiliens for the future.

Emmanuel Silva Ferreira, a left‑winger currently with the U23 team of Al‑Nasr Dubai, featured for roughly thirty minutes and scored the sole goal of the encounter, instantly catching the eye of the Paris Club.

His performance has already attracted attention beyond Paris; both FC Barcelone and Benfica are said to be monitoring his development, making him a rare talent followed by two of Europe’s biggest clubs.

The second prospect, 19‑year‑old central defender Joao Vittor Cugine Madia, comes from Avaí in the Brazilian second division. He completed a full 45‑minute spell on the field, giving the Espoirs staff a clear view of his defensive capabilities.

Both players are being evaluated primarily to reinforce PSG’s Espoirs and, in the longer term, the Youth League squad, with the ultimate aim of preparing them for possible inclusion in Luis Enrique’s first‑team plans.

PSG’s sporting directors will now analyse the two trials in detail, and the club has indicated that a decision regarding their future will be announced in the coming days.
