According to Romanian outlet Fanatik, Olympique de Marseille have identified Alanyaspor’s attacking midfielder Ianis Hagi as a priority and have reached a principle agreement for his arrival during the upcoming winter transfer period. The club’s hierarchy are reportedly working behind the scenes to finalise the move.

Hagi arrived on a free transfer at Alanyaspor from Glasgow Rangers in the summer of 2025. This season he has featured in only four matches across all competitions and has never started a game, a situation that could accelerate a winter departure.

Supporters overwhelmingly back the move

A poll conducted on the club’s X account, But! OM, asked fans whether they would welcome Hagi’s switch to Marseille. Seventy‑six point three percent answered “yes”, while only twenty‑three point seven percent voted “no”.

The result reflects a clear desire among the Marseille fanbase to see the squad reinforced after a summer without any new signings. Many supporters view Hagi as the first of what could become a series of winter acquisitions.

Coach Bruno Genesio is also believed to share the supporters’ optimism, as the question of a winter signing has been raised by both fans and the coach alike. His input could prove decisive when the club evaluates how Hagi fits into the tactical setup.
