Olise's spectacular strike powers Bayern to German Supercup

On Saturday, Bayern Munich (Munique) opened the 2026/27 season with a trophy, defeating Borussia Dortmund 2‑1 in the German Supercup (Supercopa) in Germany (Alemanha). The Bavarians took the lead through defender Brown, and midfielder Olise added a spectacular first‑half goal before Fabio Silva’s late consolation for Dortmund.

Defender Brown gave Bayern the early advantage, netting the opening goal (Gols) for the Bavarians. His strike put the hosts ahead before the half‑hour mark, setting the tone for the contest.

Olise's first‑half masterpiece

Midfielder Olise doubled the lead in the first half with a spectacular finish. He collected the ball in midfield, surged into the box, left two defenders behind and calmly slotted a low left‑foot shot.

Borussia Dortmund responded in the second half through Fabio Silva, who reduced the deficit. Silva’s goal proved insufficient as Bayern held on for the win.

The win gives Bayern their second consecutive German Supercup and their twelfth overall, the most in the competition’s history. Dortmund remain the second‑most successful side with six titles, still well behind Bayern’s tally.

By clinching the Supercup, Bayern have begun the 2026/27 campaign with silverware, signalling their intent for the season ahead. The triumph sets a positive tone as Bayern look to dominate domestic competitions this season.
