Olise's brace sparks Bayern's early surge against Bodø/Glimt
Michael Olise struck twice as Bayern Munich thrashed Bodø/Glimt 5-0 at the Allianz Arena in Thursday's Champions League group match, with Jamal Musiala opening the scoring. Harry Kane and Alphonso Davies also found the net, extending the German champions' perfect start to the campaign.
Bayern's clinical display
Vincent Kompany made three changes to his starting XI, bringing back Kane, Musiala and Olise after a goalless draw at Schalke. Musiala latched onto a blocked Kane effort and fired into the far corner, while Olise's free‑kick was headed in by Kane before the winger added a spectacular 25‑yard strike in the dying minutes.
The French winger’s second goal came six minutes after Alphonso Davies’ long‑range effort, sealing a dominant second‑half performance. Bayern’s relentless pressure produced three goals in the final 15 minutes, underlining their attacking depth.
Implications for the group
The victory extended Bayern’s remarkable run of 24 straight Champions League opening‑game wins dating back to 2002, reinforcing their status as six‑time European champions. Bodø/Glimt, who surprised last season by reaching the last 16, lost Odin Bjortuft to a straight red card for a last‑man foul three minutes from time.
For the Norwegian side, the heavy defeat highlighted defensive frailties against elite opposition, while Bayern’s comprehensive win positions them strongly for qualification.
