Olise demands more protective referees against fouls
Michael Olise started his third season at Bayern Munich in style, with five goals and two assists in six matches across all competitions. However, the French midfielder complains of a lack of protection from the referees, accusing them of allowing repeated fouls to go unpunished.
These statistics place Olise among the league's top creators from the outset. His impact has already contributed to several Bayern victories.
Appeal to the referee during the match against Schalke
He notes that opposing players are targeting him more and more, prompting him to address the referees repeatedly this season. In the goalless encounter against Schalke on September 5, the Bavarian number 17 shouted to referee Robert Schröder: “You need to be more decisive, otherwise I’ll end up getting massacred. You cannot remain desperately passive in the face of the opponents’ defenders’ attitude. We cannot let everything go, it’s not possible.”
Bayern’s football director, Max Eberl, confirmed the player’s sentiment. He stated that the longer time passes, the tougher the opponents are with Michael, and that the risk increases if referees do not intervene more.
A possible turnaround could occur on Friday night against Union Berlin, according to observers.
