OH Leuven surge past Lommem SK with rapid double in three minutes

Under the floodlights of Den Dreef on Saturday 24 October 2026, the Jupiler Pro League clash between OH Leuven and Lommel SK unfolded as a LIVE spectacle, with two goals erupting within three minutes to swing the momentum dramatically for the home side.

The opening half of the League match saw Takuya Ogiwara receive a Geel card in the twelfth minute, setting a tense tone. Six minutes later, Stredair Appuah broke the deadlock for Lommel SK, his GOAL arriving at the 35th minute to make it 0‑1.

Before the break, the referee cautioned Stredair Appuah again at the 40th minute and then showed a Geel card to Shawn Adewoye in stoppage time. A second Geel was issued to Appuah at 45+2’, and the half ended with Lommel leading.

Second‑half tactical shift

The second half began with OH Leuven introducing Emmanuel Addai for Lukasz Lakomy at the 46th minute, a tactical move that paid off quickly.

At 65 minutes, Robin Mirisola restored parity for Leuven, his GOAL equalising the score at 1‑1.

Just two minutes later, Emmanuel Addai seized the lead, nudging the ball home at the 67th minute to put OH Leuven ahead 2‑1.

Late discipline and substitutions

The match’s closing stages were marked by further discipline: Robin Mirisola received a Geel card at 71 minutes, and at 73 minutes Joey Pelupessy was replaced by Tom Reyners while Jesper Tolinsson made way for Nicolas Rommens.

The three points were Voor the club’s push towards a top‑four finish, keeping OH Leuven in contention for European spots, while coach Lee Johnson watched the drama unfold from the dug‑out. The win follows OHL’s narrow 1‑0 cup‑round triumph over Francs Borains and comes after Lommel’s recent 4‑1 defeat to Sint-Truiden. The result also lifts morale ahead of the next league fixture.
