Official move highlights PSG’s profit and Atlético’s boost
Officially confirmed on Saturday, South Korean midfielder Kang-in Lee has left Paris Saint‑Germain to join Atlético de Madrid, with the move expected to bring around €40 million to PSG after three years in which he recorded 16 goals and 16 assists in 124 matches.
The announcement was billed as a great sale for PSG, and it had been expected for weeks that the South Korean would depart.
Kang-in Lee signed for Atlético de Madrid on Saturday morning, seeking more playing time after limited opportunities at Paris Saint‑Germain.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the former Mallorca player is set to bring around €40 million to the Paris club.
Lee never fully broke into Luis Enrique’s starting eleven during his three‑year spell at the French capital.
He departs PSG with 16 goals and 16 assists from 124 appearances.
His exit, together with Gonçalo Ramos’s recent departure, is expected to free up space for new signings such as Maghnes Akliouche, Yan Diomandé and Ferran Torres.
