Belgium, England, France champions decided as Europe closes seasons

Belgian Pro League champions Club Brugge sealed the title on May 19. Club Brugge finished 11 points clear of Union Saint-Gilloise, who secured second place. RWD Molenbeek were relegated after finishing bottom of the table.

In England, Manchester City won the Premier League on May 19. Manchester City finished 13 points ahead of second-placed Arsenal. Luton Town and Burnley were relegated.

Paris Saint-Germain secured the Ligue 1 title on May 18. Paris Saint-Germain finished 12 points clear of second-placed Monaco. Le Havre and FC Metz were relegated.

In the Netherlands, PSV Eindhoven claimed the Eredivisie title on May 12. PSV Eindhoven finished 16 points ahead of second-placed Feyenoord. Volendam and Almere City were relegated.

Italy’s Serie A saw Inter Milan crowned champions on May 26. Inter Milan finished 19 points clear of second-placed AC Milan. Frosinone and Cagliari were relegated.

Germany’s Bundesliga concluded with Bayer Leverkusen winning the title on May 18. Bayer Leverkusen finished 10 points ahead of second-placed Bayern Munich. Darmstadt and FC Heidenheim avoided relegation via playoffs.

Spain’s La Liga title went to Real Madrid on May 26. Real Madrid finished five points clear of second-placed Barcelona. Real Sociedad and Celta Vigo were relegated.

The European season now concludes across all leagues.
