Neymar presents signed jersey to Bayern’s Olise after Union thrashing

Neymar presented a personalised jersey to Michael Olise after FC Bayern’s 7‑0 demolition of Union Berlin, a match in which the 25‑year‑old French‑Algerian was named Man of the Match and collected the official match ball. The gift arrived during his post‑game walk through the mixed zone, adding a memorable touch to an already historic evening.

Olise shines in Bayern’s 7‑0 gala

Michael Olise was the dominant figure in the 7‑0 gala against Union Berlin. He scored three goals and supplied two assists, securing the Man of the Match award. As tradition dictates, he also received the match ball as part of his three‑goal pack.

Personalised gift from Neymar

Beyond the ball, Neymar handed Olise a second souvenir – a Bayern jersey bearing a handwritten dedication. Beim Gang durch die Mixed Zone, journalist Isabela Pagliari handed the jersey to Olise inside the Allianz Arena, fulfilling the Brazilian star’s request. The gesture recognised Olise’s earlier praise of Neymar as one of his idols alongside Lionel Messi and Zinedine Zidane.

Neymar, who enjoyed his peak years at Paris Saint‑Germain, is now winding down his career with his hometown club FC Santos. His involvement in the ceremony highlighted the cross‑continental friendship between the two players.

Olise is currently in superb form, featuring in the seventh league match of the season and already earning the best‑player accolade for the fourth time. He has accumulated eleven scorer points, averaging a point every fifty‑one minutes of play.

Harry Kane praised the French midfielder, saying, “I really enjoy playing with Michael, and I like him a lot as a person. Not everyone shows their true character, but he is a great character, completely different from how he appears to outsiders.”

Olise declined a post‑match interview with Sky, citing his media‑shy nature. He left the stadium Nach Hause with the gifts, while his representative and teammate Jamal Musiala smiled and replied, “Dafür bin ich da,” when asked about the refusal.

Sport director Max Eberl used the occasion to champion Olise for the World Footballer of the Year award, declaring him a Ballon d’Or candidate alongside Harry Kane, Lamine Yamal, Kylian Mbappé and Rodri.
