Neville warns Man Utd to tighten up after one win in six
Gary Neville told Manchester United players to "get a grip" after they were held to a 1‑1 draw by ten‑man Tottenham, leaving the club with just one win from six Premier League games.
"If you're not quite right there from a mental and physical perspective, you're going to get found out," Neville said, stressing the need for immediate improvement.
United travel away to Atletico Madrid next, before a home clash with Leeds, both fixtures that could define their season if form does not improve.
Continental and domestic landscape
The German top flight features Union Berlin, Bayer Leverkusen, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Eintracht Frankfurt, Augsburg, Köln, Hamburger SV, Hoffenheim and Borussia Mönchengladbach. In England the Super League sits above the EFL Championship, League One and League Two, while Scotland runs its Premiership, Championship, League 1 and League 2, alongside the Scottish Women’s Premier League. The Kick It Out British South Asians in Football Watch initiative was highlighted, underscoring the broader social responsibilities linked to the game. Neville warned that without a mental and physical reset, United could endure a worrying few weeks, a scenario the club cannot afford as they chase European qualification.
