Jürgen Klopp, Arsenal's manager, approved the early call-up of these two young players. He hopes their contributions will compensate for the absences.
Germany will face Greece on Sunday at 20:45 as part of the same international window. The DFB released a statement confirming the injury status and squad adjustments.
