Napoli weighs €25‑million deal for Brazilian goalkeeper talent

Napoli, under the leadership of Massimiliano Allegri, are monitoring the 20‑year‑old goalkeeper Otávio from Cruzeiro, while at the same time FC Porto from Portugal and Nottingham Forest from England are expressing their interest. The Italian is said to cost at least around €25 million. After journalist Ekrem Konur analyzed the situation at Cruzeiro, several journalists are closely following the situation at Cruzeiro.

Napoli is specifically looking for a reinforcement in goal and has set its sights on the 20‑year‑old talent Otávio from Cruzeiro. The club has not yet made a formal offer, but is monitoring the player closely.

FC Porto from Portugal and Nottingham Forest from England also show interest in the young goalkeeper. Both clubs are examining possible transfers, without having presented any binding offers so far.

Previous offers

In June, the Brazilian portal ge.globo reported that Nottingham Forest was preparing an offer of around €13 million. Cruzeiro confirmed at the time that no official offer had been received.

Since then, Otávio has earned a regular spot at Cruzeiro and was nominated for the Brazilian senior national team for the first time in September. His performances have solidified his position as one of Brazil's most promising goalkeepers.

In the current season, he has already played more than 20 matches in all competitions. This number of appearances underscores his consistency and increases the interest of European clubs.

Given his current form, the transfer fee required could be significantly higher than the previously mentioned €13 million. Napoli estimates the price at at least around €25 million.
