Napoli's Annuncio: Di Lorenzo signs until 2030 for the club

Giovanni Di Lorenzo has signed a new deal with Napoli, extending his stay at the club until 2030, with the official announcement expected in the coming days, according to transfer specialist Nicolò Schira and Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis on social media.

Mercato Napoli first reported that Schira had hinted at a practically lifelong renewal for the captain, quoting him: “Scegli tu fino a che anno vuoi restare, questa è casa tua”. The statement was said to have been delivered by De Laurentiis on Monday evening in Rivisondoli.

Later, Schira posted on X: “Affare fatto e confermato! Giovanni #DiLorenzo ha prolungato il suo contratto con #Napoli fino al 2030. Previsto l'annuncio ufficiale nei prossimi giorni”. The post reiterated the absence of any salary increase.

Agent Mario Giuffredi was also present at Napoli’s headquarters in Castel di Sangro, where the final paperwork was signed.

In an interview with Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli from Castel di Sangro, Di Lorenzo reflected on his time under Massimiliano Allegri, saying: “Sicuramente un bilancio positivo, risposte buone da parte di tutti. Peccato per il gol subito del pareggio, però abbiamo fatto delle buone trame gioco, soprattutto il primo tempo, quindi siamo contenti.” He added that the squad is eager to start the centenary season together.
