Napoli eye striker As Lang departs
Napoli have signalled that a forward will be pursued if Noa Lang departs, with Sky’s recent poll highlighting Gabriel Jesus, Joshua Zirkzee and Nicolas Jackson as the leading targets, according to journalist Luca Marchetti’s transfer update for the club ahead of the new season.
Napoli have already reinforced the squad by signing Favasuli and centre‑back Badiashile during the summer window, and both deals were announced as the new season approaches.
Badiashile medical and fee details
"Le visite mediche di Badiashile dovranno essere completate. Oggi ne ha fatte solo una prima parte, ma l'operazione è conclusa. Confermate le cifre: 3 milioni per il prestito più 27 milioni di euro per il diritto di riscatto," the club confirmed, adding that the €3 million loan fee and €27 million purchase option have been agreed.
The club will complete the bureaucratic formalities for contract signatures after the medicals.
Premier League striker targets
Ajax, Galatasaray and Atalanta have been linked with Lang, but Napoli insist on a permanent transfer rather than a loan.
Napoli is unwilling to accept a loan deal, preferring a definitive transfer.
There is also talk of selling Anguissa, whose contract renewal has been pending for a year, though the player says he remains committed.
The situation has created tension that Anguissa has not taken well.
Napoli are scouting the Premier League, with Arsenal’s Gabriel Jesus, Manchester United’s Joshua Zirkzee – also monitored by Juventus – and Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson, recently returned from a loan at Bayern, on their shortlist.
A Sky poll also lists Aston Villa as a potential destination for the Senegalese forward, and Napoli conducted the poll themselves.
Coach Massimiliano Allegri will decide on the final attacking lineup once the Lang decision and any incoming striker are resolved.
Luca Marchetti, reporting for Sky Sport, said the club is monitoring the bureaucratic steps for contract signatures following the medicals.
He outlined the strategy to bolster the squad available to Allegri.
Il Napoli is determined to strengthen its attack before the season starts, and the club is especially scouting the Premier League for options.
