Napoli Club's 'suspended away' plan offers rival fans free hospitality

The Napoli Club “Orgogliosi partenopei” will, from this season, host up to six supporters of opposing teams in Naples at the club’s expense, providing overnight accommodation, a city tour and a ‘delights package’ that includes suspended coffee, tarallo, artisanal gelato and sfogliatella.

Project details and fan involvement

To activate the suspended away concept, the coordination centres of opposing clubs must sign a fair‑play agreement. The initiative has already been embraced by fan groups of Cagliari, Lecce, Torino, Inter and Udinese.

Organisers hope additional supporters will join, with last‑minute entries from Como and Bologna anticipated. These clubs are expected to confirm their participation before the debut.

To activate the suspended away scheme, the coordination centres of opposing clubs must sign a ‘fair‑play agreement’: an initiative already taken up by several fan groups (Cagliari, Lecce, Torino, Inter, Udinese), with more expected to join and the debut, pending possible last‑minute entries from Como and Bologna, scheduled for 11 October when Frosinone arrives at the Maradona stadium.

The first six supporters, identified as Ciociarian fans, will travel to Naples on that date and will receive a hospitality package that includes overnight lodging, a guided city tour and a selection of local treats. The package lists suspended coffee, Neapolitan tarallo, artisanal gelato and sfogliatella.

The project enjoys the patronage of the Comune di Napoli, reinforcing its community‑focused image. Club officials say the scheme aims to showcase Neapolitan hospitality to rival supporters.

The announcement was published in Stampa A− A+ and highlighted by Ultime notizie SSC Napoli, with coverage also appearing in Tuttosport.
