Napoli chase €30m Guiu as Roma’s Gittens loan stalls
Napoli have opened Chelsea Napoli talks for unwanted striker Marc Guiu, Guiu Roma, while the Blues have turned down Roma’s request to loan winger Jamie Gittens. The 20‑year‑old Guiu carries a €30m asking price, and the 22‑year‑old Gittens, bought for €56m, remains at Stamford Bridge.
Napoli target Guiu
Napoli have contacted Chelsea to ask after the unwanted striker Marc Guiu. The 20‑year‑old Spain Under‑21 international has not been allocated a squad number for the current season. Chelsea have set a reported asking price of €30m for the forward. Sky Sport Italia reports Napoli are prepared to make a long‑term investment for Guiu.
Multiple Italian sources in Italia say clubs are knocking at Stamford Bridge because Chelsea face a surplus of players going into the final weeks of the transfer window. The surplus creates an opportunity for Napoli to acquire a young striker without competition.
Roma loan bid for Gittens rejected
Roma are still hoping to secure Jamie Gittens on loan, Roma’s attempt to bring the 22‑year‑old winger to the club. Gittens, who can operate on either flank, was purchased by Chelsea for €56m from Borussia Dortmund a year ago.
Pedullà noted that Xabi Alonso is involved in the negotiations on Roma’s side. The Premier League side has refused the terms for now, but the situation could change later in the summer as the window narrows.

If Napoli succeed, they add a young forward with international experience to bolster their attack. Roma will need to explore alternative options after the loan request was turned down. Chelsea’s surplus may force the Blues to consider future sales of both Guiu and Gittens before the window closes.
