Mourinho sharply scolds Mbappé after Paris trip and urges discipline
In the shadow of the Valdebebas training ground, José Mourinho stood, brow furrowed, while Kylian Mbappé, after his return from Paris, nervously scanned the air. The Spanish coach pulled the Frenchman aside in front of witnesses and gave him a sharp reprimand – one that reflects the growing unrest at Real Madrid.
The atmosphere around Kylian Mbappé at Real Madrid is becoming increasingly tense, reports El Chiringuito. According to the channel, Mourinho is said to have sharply reprimanded the Frenchman in front of witnesses after another trip to Paris.
Marcos Benito of El Chiringuito reported that Mbappé spent at most an hour and a half in Valdebebas on Tuesday. He then flew to Paris, where he stayed the whole day. Only later did he return to Madrid, with it unclear whether the monastery had granted him permission this time.
A few days earlier, Real had indeed allowed him to stay in Paris during the rehabilitation of his knee injury, which he had sustained while playing for the French national team. The injury occurred in the international match between France and Turkey.
Pipi Estrada revealed that Mourinho had lost his patience after one of the incidents. “José Mourinho took Kylian Mbappé aside in front of witnesses and gave him a sharp reprimand,” Estrada quoted.
Tensions before Villarreal
According to Estrada, the tensions could already have consequences in the match against Villarreal on Saturday. The journalist hinted that the Santiago Bernabéu might witness something unusual – Mbappé and Vinícius Júnior on the bench from the start at the same time.
Despite the turbulence, Mbappé remains a central figure in the squad, as he is already back training after his knee injury.
