Mourinho accuses referees, CTA acknowledges error on Lee

Real Madrid's protests after the Madrid derby have received partial confirmation: the Technical Arbitration Committee is ready to acknowledge the error made in Kang-In Lee's challenge on Federico Valverde, which occurred shortly before halftime and has sparked new controversy among the officials.

Kang-In Lee came in with a stiff leg on the Blancos' midfielder, but the referee did not show any card. The Technical Arbitration Committee believes the action should have resulted in a direct red card.

No appropriate sanction was considered, according to the same committee. The measure should have been harsher to uphold the match discipline.

José Mourinho vehemently denounced the challenge on Cristian Romero, who was cautioned for the foul on Jude Bellingham. The CTA evaluated the possibility of a red card, but deemed the decision justified given the chaotic nature of the incident.

No error was found in the dismissal of Dean Huijsen, who left Real Madrid with ten men in the fiftieth minute. The referee's decision was confirmed by the Committee.

Real Madrid TV commented: "We don't know what would have happened if Atletico had remained with nine men". Then added: "It's simply disgusting. It makes you want to get up and leave the Liga".
