Moretto confirms Roma-Oosterwolde loan with buy‑out clause
The 2001‑born Dutchman Jayden Oosterwolde is set to join AS Roma on loan, a deal confirmed after a rapid finalisation of talks between the Giallorossi and Turkish side Fenerbahçe. The agreement, announced by Matteo Moretto, includes an option to buy that could become mandatory if certain conditions are met.
Matteo Moretto confirmed that an agreement between Roma and Fenerbahçe has been reached, allowing the Dutchman to move to the capital. Club director D’Amico told head coach Gasperini that Oosterwolde will bolster the defence. The 2001‑born player will arrive on loan with an option to purchase, which may turn into an obligatory clause under predefined triggers.
Roma had been tracking Oosterwolde since the early stages of the transfer window, but negotiations stalled until the last few hours. Contacts between the clubs intensified, leading to a final accord with Fenerbahçe, also written as Fenerbahce, after a similar deal was secured for a former Parma player. The swift conclusion reflects the Giallorossi’s urgency to reinforce their back line before the season progresses.
