Monaco assure Filipe Luís that Brunner’s attack is now valued at R$88 million

In the Monaco training complex, Filipe Luís was told the club’s attacking asset, Paris Brunner, has surged in market value, now estimated at R$88 million, while the 20‑year‑old German is set to extend his stay until June 2028.

Brunner’s scoring spell

Paris Brunner is in great form at Monaco. Com six goals in seven games this season, the young striker has become a key figure for the Ligue 1 leaders. His recent brace secured a 2‑0 win over Olympique de Marseille, highlighting his growing influence.

In the French top flight, Brunner has already netted four times in five league matches. The two‑goal performance against Marseille was his most prolific display, confirming his status as one of the league’s emerging scorers.

Contract and market rise

Monaco opened negotiations to renew Brunner’s contract, which now runs to June 2028, club’s proactive approach reflects his rapid development and the desire to lock in the talent.

The German arrived in July 2024 for roughly €4 million, about R$24 million at current rates, after progressing through Borussia Dortmund’s youth ranks where he featured in 82 matches and scored 56 goals. He never featured for Dortmund’s senior side.

His market valuation has exploded. In June of the previous year, Brunner was priced at €1.5 million (around R$9 million). By September 2026, his worth had risen to €15 million, approximately R$88 million, meaning Monaco’s initial outlay is now almost four times lower than his current estimate.

Monaco, unbeaten at the top of Ligue 1, aims to retain Brunner despite Borussia Dortmund holding a buy‑back clause. Should Dortmund not act, other European clubs are expected to pursue the striker in the 2027 transfer window.
