Milan reveals Moreira transfer details and sets cap at €67.8 million
Milan has confirmed that the Belgian winger Diego Moreira was the second most expensive signing in the history of the Rossoneri, with a base fee of 51 million 282 thousand and 51 euros. The deal, completed in the summer under Ruben Amorim's leadership, came immediately after the arrival of the Portuguese Gonçalo Ramos from PSG.
Transfer fee
According to the documents reviewed, the Rossoneri club paid Strasbourg a fixed sum of 51 million 282 thousand and 51 euros. This amount represents the cash portion of the agreement, to which various types of performance‑related bonuses will be added.
The first group of personal BONUS depends on goals and assists: if Moreira records ten combinations in a season, Milan will pay just over 2 million EURO. A second personal bonus is linked to appearances: with fifteen matches as a starter of at least 45 minutes, the club must pay just over 1 million, up to a maximum of 5.13 million for the entire contract duration.
An additional incentive concerns the renewal: in case of an agreement for an extension, Milan will pay around 2 million EURO, with a ceiling of 4.1 million if the renewal were to be double.
Team bonuses
In addition to the individual BONUS, the contract provides rewards linked to team results. A qualification for the Champions League would guarantee the French club about 1 million EURO per year, provided Moreira accumulates at least 2,000 minutes in Serie A. The same threshold for the Europa League would reduce the reward to 256 thousand EURO.
The contract also includes a league bonus: winning the Scudetto would entail an additional payment of 1.5 million EURO.
The maximum ceiling for all bonuses is set at 14 million 358 thousand and 974 euros, which brings the total value of the deal to 67.8 million EURO, if all criteria were met.
Finally, a sell‑on clause was agreed: Milan will transfer a percentage of Moreira's future sale, ranging from 0 to 25 percent depending on the transfer fee, with specific thresholds between 10 and 100 million EURO.
With these numbers, Diego Moreira ranks second among the most expensive signings of the Rossoneri, just behind teammate Gonçalo Ramos, confirming Ruben Amorim's ambition to strengthen the squad with high‑profile investments.
