Milan Ramos duo and Leao ready for Inter friendly in Perth

AC Milan kept its training rhythm with a daily session, holding a 12 p.m. workout yesterday at the Sam Kerr Football Centre before moving lunch to the hotel after 3 p.m., to adjust to the timing of the upcoming friendlies against Inter in Perth and Chelsea in Giacarta, with forwards Gonçalo Ramos and Rafael Leao reported fit.

Milan continue its work at the pace of one training per day, a routine the club has maintained throughout the pre‑season. Il Milan maintains this rhythm despite the travel schedule.

Coach Stefano Amorim emphasized tactical work while awaiting the recovery of midfielder Gila, who suffered a right‑thigh muscle discomfort in his first test against Celtic. Amorim hopes the extra tactical sessions will compensate for any lingering fitness concerns.

Defender Ricci missed recent sessions after being sidelined by tonsillitis. His absence has limited defensive options during the current training block.

Midfielder Nkunku returned to full fitness following a recent knock, and the two Portuguese forwards, Gonçalo Ramos and Rafael Leao, displayed decent physical condition. Both newcomers impressed the coaching staff with their readiness for the upcoming matches.

For the second consecutive day the squad trained together, with Amorim making clear that both Ramos and Leao could be deployed against Inter. The joint session also served to integrate the new signings with the existing group.

The club’s technical director Rafa, a former United coach, remains linked to the transfer market, with Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe monitoring him; Fenerbahçe is prepared to submit a second offer, while Cardinale will not sell unless a €50‑60 million bid arrives. The interest from Turkish clubs reflects the broader UE market dynamics.

Amorim granted the players a half‑day of leisure, allowing groups to sight‑see Perth, shop and dine out, with dinner also left to their own choice. Many took the opportunity to explore local restaurants beyond the hotel.

Today's programme includes an optional light training session in the afternoon, featuring pool and gym work. The low‑intensity focus aims to aid recovery before the travel to Jakarta.
