Milan eyes Tomori in Salzburg: Amorim's new revolution
Milan are preparing for a new turning point in Salzburg, where manager Ruben Amorim wants to bring Fikayo Tomori into the spotlight, while the team faces the pressure of a recent draw against Sassuolo and a defeat to Benfica in the Champions League group stage.
Tomori's return in defence
Fikayo Tomori, reinstated at the end of the transfer window after an unproductive summer, is expected to start in place of Gila in the line‑up that will face the Austrian club. His presence is seen as the centerpiece of the biggest defensive innovation proposed by Amorim.
Revolution of the secondary lines
Amorim intends to give more minutes to the reserve players, making space for Camarda in place of Gonçalo Ramos, considered too “over‑used”. The young Camarda, so far limited to a few minutes, will have the task of supporting the attack together with Christian Pulisic, described as “untouchable”, and with Cissé.
Changes in midfield and left wing
In midfield, Musah remains a starter alongside Jashari, while Comotto could get on the move. On the left flank, Bartesaghi will take the place of Estupinan, with further changes expected in defence.
Immediate European objectives
Milan, after the disappointing draw in Reggio Emilia against Sassuolo, must change gear in Europe. The usual starters from Rabiot to Modric, via Moreira, will be ready to intervene if necessary.
