Milan demand €20m permanent sale as Como chase Ricci

Como have opened talks to acquire AC Milan midfielder Samuele Ricci, but Milan refuse any loan‑with‑option structure, insisting on a permanent sale after paying over €20 million for the 22‑year‑old from Torino last summer as the Serie A season gets underway.

Why Como target Ricci

According to Fabrizio Romano and Matteo Moretto via CalcioMercato, Como have reached a broad agreement with Samuele Ricci’s camp. The club’s push is driven partly by a need for more Italian‑qualified players to satisfy Serie A squad‑list rules and to support their debut Champions League campaign.

Cesc Fabregas, overseeing the midfield, sees the midfielder as a good tactical fit for the side.

Como’s opening offer consists of a loan with an option to buy, but Milan have flatly rejected that structure. AC Milan argue that the €20 million they paid for Ricci from Torino last summer warrants a full, permanent sale.

Milan’s firm stance and Ricci’s record

Milan want a permanent sale for the midfielder, noting that Ricci made 34 appearances and scored once in a difficult debut season at the San Siro. He is listed among several players, including Tomori and Fofana, deemed surplus to Ruben Amorim’s plans. Ricci remains under contract with AC Milan until 2029 and earns a reported €2.5 million net salary per year.

Other interest and future implications

Atalanta have also made contact about Ricci, with Maurizio Sarri reportedly admiring the midfielder, giving Milan a secondary option if talks with Como stall over financial terms. For Como, securing Ricci would bolster their Italian‑qualified quota and add depth ahead of the Champions League, while for Milan a permanent sale could free up wages and a squad spot while recouping part of the €20 million outlay.
