Michiel Kramer warns: only a title can save Feyenoord's season
Former Feyenoord striker Michiel Kramer told VoetbalPrimeur that only a championship can turn this campaign into a success, warning, “Dan is it just a very disappointing season…” as the club prepares for its opening fixture this weekend against city rivals Sparta Rotterdam.
Kramer, who spent his playing career with the Rotterdammers, reflected on the high expectations surrounding the side. His experience as a former striker gives weight to his assessment.
He stated that Feyenoord must become champion to deem the season a success. Without that achievement, the campaign would fall short of the club’s ambitions.
Kramer added that failing to lift the title would make the season very disappointing for him personally. He emphasized the emotional impact of missing out on the league crown.
The comments were made during a conversation with the outlet VoetbalPrimeur. The interview focused on the upcoming challenges for the Rotterdam side.
Feyenoord’s first match of the new season is scheduled for this weekend against city‑mate Sparta Rotterdam. The fixture will set the tone for the title‑driven campaign Kramer described.
