Michael Olise breaks record as Bayern market value hits €180 million

On the pitch of FC Bayern Munich’s training ground, a reporter observed Michael Olise clutching his team’s jersey after an intense sprint. The 24‑year‑old attacking player has, according to the portal Transfermarkt.de, increased his market value by ten million euros to 180 million euros. With this, he has once again surpassed his own Bundesliga record.

Market value record of Michael Olise

The new value of 180 million euros exceeds the previous highest value, which Erling Haaland set in 2021 at BVB (Borussia Dortmund) with 150 million euros. Haaland had held the record since then, but Olise has now far surpassed it. Transfermarkt records the development as the first case of a player in the Bundesliga exceeding the 170‑million‑euro mark.

Olise reached the milestone not only through his club performances, but also thanks to his international appearances. With the winning goal for the French national team against Belgium (1‑0) he scored his ninth goal in his ninth official match. Additionally, he provided five assists, meaning he averages only about 47 minutes per goal involvement.

After the Belgium match, France’s new coach Zinedine Zidane expressed his enthusiasm: “He is an absolute natural talent and simply loves playing football. You can see that. He feels the game. I am delighted to be by his side.” The words underline Olise’s growing importance in the national team.

Ballon d’Or favorite at Bayern

In the current season segment, Olise has already contributed eight goals and four assists for Bayern Munich. Notably, his hat‑trick in the 7‑0 victory over Union Berlin before the international break stands out. Sports director Max Eberl immediately elevated Olise into the circle of favorites for the Ballon d’Or.

Eberl compared Olise to teammate Harry Kane, who also appears on the 30‑person candidate list. “Michael slips into this circle as well with his style of playing football. He definitely belongs, for me, among the best footballers in the world,” said the 53‑year‑old director.

On the global valuation list, Olise ranks after Lamine Yamal (FC Barcelona) and Kylian Mbappé (Real Madrid). Haaland remains, with 220 million euros, the most valuable player according to Transfermarkt, followed by Mbappé with 200 million euros and Olise with 180 million euros. Kane, despite being 33 years old, is valued at 60 million euros.
